Barrie is accessible and close to everything. As a resident, you’ll enjoy access to and from highways 26, 400 and 11. You’re under 60 minutes from the GTA, 20 from the slopes and a stone’s throw from cottage country. You can also live anywhere in Barrie and be a maximum of 10 minutes from the highway. Not that you will be in a hurry to get out.
Buying a home in Barrie is a great homeownership opportunity. According to the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), the housing market in Barrie remains healthy. Buying conditions are very attractive due to a prolonged period of low interest rates. The resale market continues to rise year over year, making Barrie one of Ontario’s stronger regions of price growth. You’ll also enjoy a lower cost of living and knowing that the housing costs are much lower than those in the Greater Toronto Area.
It’s a Thing of Beauty
Breathe easier here, because Barrie is literally a thing of natural beauty. It’s home to an expansive, beach-lined waterfront overlooking Kempenfelt Bay and hosts many parks and trails. Bike, walk, run, picnic and relax in any of these natural areas. Resident favourites are the Ardagh Bluffs Area or the Nine Mile Portage Heritage Trail. What about a day at the park? This list of over 15 city parks should make life easier. Your picnic basket is calling your name.
