Meet The ecobee Smart Thermostat

Posted by on in Sean Homes 101
If you’re like me, you value comfort, saving money and doing your part to help the environment. To cover all these bases, I’m installing the ecobee Smart Thermostat in every Sean home. Here’s how the ecobee can enhance your lifestyle.

Stay Connected

First of all, this thermostat connects to your WiFi at home so, you can easily monitor and program your temperature from anywhere in the house. The ecobee also allows you to access yourhome thermostat from your cell phone when you’re out of the house! Simply create your own web portal and you’re able to manage every aspect of your thermostat from your phone – and it’s free. This feature is the perfect way to scale back your heating and cooling bill while reducing your environmental impact – a win, win situation. You’ll never come home to a house that’s too cold or too hot again. Comfort at it’s finest.

Bee Smart

Your ecobee actually goes the extra mile to be smart on its own – without your involvement. This smart little device pays attention to how you consume energy and figures out how you can save money and conserve energy! By learning your behaviours, the ecobee will let you know when an issue comes up. Now, that’s smart and considerate.

Go Green

It pays to go green. Did you know that heating and cooling your home accounts for around half of your overall energy usage? Recent studies estimate that the ecobee can reduce this consumption somewhere between 21% and 24% when compared to homes with a constant resting temperature of 72 Fahrenheit. Slashing your energy use by nearly a quarter is something to be happy about – more money and a smaller environmental footprint.

The ecobee takes smart technology to the next level. What smart home gadgets would you like to see in your home? Tweet me.
